    Haley Blount is an assistant for SFA Academic Student Services, making the transition to academics after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant track and field coach at Northwestern State.

    During her time in Natchitoches, Blount worked directly with the Demons' pole vaulters, as well as serving as the cross country coach. Along with her day-to-day responsibilities with the Northwestern State track and field office, Blount taught weight training, first aid and CPR.

    In May 2007, Blount served as the assistant producer for the AT&T U.S. Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The following year she was invited back to serve a similar capacity for the 2008 U.S.A. Track and Field Championships.

    A four-year letterwinner at Northwestern State, Blount graduated as the Lady Demons' school record holder in the pole vault. A 2005 All-Louisiana Collegiate Track and Field selection, Blount received her bachelor's degree in May 2006. She graduated with a Masters of Science degree in December 2007.
