Flores named SLC Cross Country Athlete of the Week

Stephen F. Austin cross country runner Nathan Flores, a sophomore from Houston, has been named the Southland Conference Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the week of October 1.
Flores turned in an eighth place finish over the weekend at the Auburn Invitational Cross COuntry Meet in Auburn, Alabama, with a time of 24:49 over the 8,000-meter course. There were 253 competitors in the field, with Flores leading the 'Jacks to a tenth place finish among the 31 teams entered in the event.
Next up for the Lumberjack and Ladyjack cross country teams will be the Texas A&M Invitational on October 13.
