The Lumberjack golf team shot a final round 300 to finish at an even 900 for the three round UTSA Invitational held at San Antonio's Oak Hill Country Club. SFA climbed past Iowa State to move into tenth place in the final round.
Tim Speichert posted a final round 75 to finish the 54-hole event with a total of 72-71-75, five over par, 218. Speichert finished in a tie for 17th place, his first top 20 finish of the spring.
Walt Schroeder was the low man in the third round for the 'Jacks with with a final round 74. Schroeder finished at 232 after rounds of 78-79-74.
Mike Arnaud shot a final round 76 to go along with opening day rounds of 77 and 74 to finish at 227, and a tie for 39th.
Trey Schroeder shot rounds of 72-76-78 and finished at fifteen over par 228 for the event.
Clint Bowden came back on the final day of play to shoot a 77 and finish at 235 (78-80-77).
Andy Bell shot an opening round 77, did not play the second round and shot a 75 Tuesday.
SFA returns to action March 19 at the Moe O'Brien Invitational in Lake Charles, Louisiana
