'Jacks Post Best Finish Of Fall Season

The Lumberjack golf team hung tough in adverse conditions during Tuesday's final 18-holes of play to end up in a tie for third place at the Squire Creek Intercollegiate, held at Squire Creek Country Club in Choudrant, La. McNeese State won the event with a 54-hole total of 899. Boise State finished eight shots back in third place with a 907 total, then came Sam Houston, SFA and Nebraska in the third place tie.
The 'Jacks shot a round of 304 Tuesday, highlighted by Trevor Sauntry's final round, 71. Sauntry took second place individual honors following rounds of 75-70-71, two shots back of Graham DeLaet of Boise State.
Freshman Brian Grossman also ground it out Tuesday with a round of 75 and posted a top 20 finish, tying for 18th.
