Junior Brittany Burton Receives SLC Honor

PLANO, Texas - Junior middle blocker Brittany Burton (Livingston, Texas) was named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week announced league officials Monday afternoon. It is the second time this season Burton has received the honor.
Burton led the Ladyjacks with 25 kills (4.2 kpg) and a .377 attack percentage in the team's two matches last week. Burton also recorded 13 digs (2.2 dpg), six blocks (1.0 bpg) and a service ace. The Ladyjacks have won seven of their last eight matches.
The Ladyjacks will be back in action Friday when they travel to Thibodaux, La., to take on Nicholls State. The match will begin at 7 p.m., from Stopher Gym.
