SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Stephen F. Austin sophomore Tyler Trichell shot a one-over 72 Tuesday in the final round of the UTSA Intercollegiate to finish tied for 16th in the individual standings. The Lumberjacks finished 11th as a team in the field of 17.
Trichell carded 72s in each of the last two rounds after opening with a 76 in Round 1. His total score for the tournament was a seven-over 220. Senior Brian Grossman turned in a 78 on the final day to finish in 24th place, three strokes back of Trichell. Senior Jason Landry shot 84 on the final day after turning in a 75 in each of the first two rounds. Senior Josh Price carded a 77 in Round 3, and junior Ryan Salinas shot a 79 in the final round.
The Lumberjacks will return to action on March 17 and 18 for the Bearkat Classic in Huntsville, hosted by Sam Houston State.
