CHOUDRANT, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team shot a 307 Tuesday afternoon to finish eighth in the Louisiana Tech Bulldog Classic (316-304-307 - 927) at Squire Creek Country Club.
Junior Michael Smith recorded the team's lowest score with a 229. He finished the tournament tied for 28th. Sophomore Stetson McMillan (231) was two strokes back of Smith to finish tied for 33rd overall. Junior Ricky Wilkenfeld finished tied for 46th after carding an 83-76-76 - 235. Classmate Kyle Robbins shot a 237 to finish tied for 54th. Freshman Mitchell McLeroy shot an 83-79-76 - 238.
The Lumberjacks return to action Monday, April 5, when they travel to Branson, Mo., to compete in the Branson Creek Invitational.
