
McLeroy Leads the Field at the SLC Championships

FORT WORTH, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin men's golf team continued their dominant performance at the Southland Conference Championships Tuesday at the Waterchase Golf Club in Fort Worth, Texas. The 'Jacks finished the second round of the tournament in fourth place carding a 296-287--583.
Sophomore Mitchell McLeroy not only led SFA, but is currently in first place in the tournament. McLeroy fired a six-under par 66 in the second round and is five under for the two rounds. Junior Stetson McMillan and senior Kyle Robbins are tied for 18th place. McMillan shot a 74-72--146, while Robbins carded a 72-74--146.
Wilkenfeld improved in his second round, recording a 78-75--153 and worked his way up the leader board to finish in 33rd place at the end of the round. Sophomore Jason Fiscus rounded out the 'Jacks scoring with an 81 in the round and finishing the day in 43rd place.
SFA pairs up with Texas State tomorrow morning for the final round of the conference championships. The final round is slated for an 8 a.m. tee time.
