Ladyjack Golfer Receives National Honor

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Flower Mound, Texas native Sara Jones was named a 2010-2011 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Athlete Friday afternoon in a release from NGCA officials.
The criteria to be selected as an All-American Scholar Athlete are some of the most stringent in all of college athletes. Athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50. Jones is an English major and the first player for SFA to be named to the All-American team.
Jones was a key figure on the Ladyjack golf team in only their second year of existence. She closed out the 2010-2011 season with an 85.44 stroke average.
