
SFA Cross Country Competes at Aggie Opener to Begin Season

COLLEGE STATION, Texas-- Members of the Stephen F. Austin men's and women's cross country teams opened the season at Watts Cross Country Course as partof the Aggie Opener on Friday, September 1. Five men and five women ran for SFA as part of the event, which feature runners from Texas, Texas A & M, Incarnate Word, UT Rio Grande and Stephen F. Austin.
A pair of true freshmen led the way for SFA, as Jeremy Rich was the top men's runner for SFA with a 35th place finish, and Elizabeth Guerra paced the women's side with a 33rd place finish.
SFA will next compete in the SLC pre-conference meet on September 16, which will be the first full-squad action for the team.
