
Ladyjacks Win their Fifth Straight Home Opener as they Cruise past the Lady Lions

Four Ladyjacks record double figures with Myka Perry setting a new career high with 21.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin women's basketball program opened the 2025-26 schedule against the Nelson Lady Lions in a Monday morning matchup.
Nelson hit their first three of the game, but SFA responded with an 8-0 run to take an early 8-3 lead. The Ladyjacks grew their lead the rest of the quarter and finished on a 5-0 spurt thanks to a layup from Key Roseby and a three-pointer from Harmanie Dominguez, 26-10.
The 'Jacks extended their lead with a 6-3 run to begin the second quarter, 32-13. A layup from Myka Perry with 22 seconds left gave SFA a 46-29 lead as they went into the locker room.
Back-to-back three-pointers from Kaylinn Kemp and Dominguez grew the Ladyjacks' lead to 21, 55-34. Both teams struggled to get anything to fall from the 4:27 mark until a tip-in from Cha Gardner broke the scoring drought with 2:11 left, 64-43. The 'Jacks went into the final ten minutes with a 66-45 lead.
Both teams traded blows until SFA went on a 16-4 run to secure a 85-54 win over the Nelson Lady Lions.
