
SFA Football and Brookshire Brothers Team Up to Support SFA Food Pantry Through Brown Bags of Hope

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – All season long, every point scored by Stephen F. Austin Football at Homer Bryce Stadium meant more than just numbers on the scoreboard. Through the Brown Bags of Hope initiative, Brookshire Brothers pledged to donate one Brown Bag of Hope to the SFA Food Pantry for every point the 'Jacks scored at home during the 2025 season.
Thanks to the support of Lumberjack fans and the success of SFA Football, the initiative resulted in 232 Brown Bags of Hope, filled with approximately 1,900 total food items to directly benefit SFA students in need.
"The work being done by the Lumberjack Food Pantry is nothing short of impressive. It's truly inspiring to see how they are stepping up to make sure their students are fed and taken care of," said Melissa Crager, Public Relations & Corporate Responsibility Manager for Brookshire Brothers. "Through our partnership with SFA Athletics, we're honored to provide these Brown Bags of Hope, thoughtfully tailored to meet the real-life needs of college students, and to be part of something so meaningful."
Each Brown Bag of Hope is designed with student needs in mind. For each touchdown scored this season, Brookshire Brothers is generously providing:

- 2 cans of chicken noodle soup
- 1 package of saltine crackers
- 1 (16 oz.) jar of peanut butter
