Ladyjacks Advance to SLC Championship Match After Victory over Demons

THIBODAUX, La.- The Stephen F. Austin tennis team (16-6) faced off in a rematch for the regular season title with the Northwestern State Demons.
In doubles, SFA quickly dismantled NSU by winning the 2s, 6-1 and the 3s, 6-2. Going into singles play with a point advantage, helped the 'Jacks seal a 4-3 win after the Demons tied it up by winning three of the five singles matches. It all came down to Ksenia Mamontova who dropped the first set but rallied to a 6-4 second set victory and powered her way to a 6-1 third set victory to clinch the match and send SFA to the championship match.
