Ladyjacks Will Play No. 13 LSU Tigers in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin tennis team (17-6, 8-1 SLC) is set to build off their incredible SLC Championship into the First Round of the NCAA Tournament as they head to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to face off against the No. 13 seeded LSU Tigers (21-7, 10-5 SEC).
The 'Jacks are coming off of a successful season that concluded with the fourth regular season title, three singles players on All-Southland First Team, one doubles pair on All-Southland First Team, and a doubles pair on All-Southland Second Team. SFA carried that momentum into the conference tournament where they swept Southeastern Louisiana before gritting out a tough 4-3 win over Northwestern State to send them to the Championship Match against the TAMU-Corpus Christi Islanders. The Islanders were no match for the Ladyjacks who swept their way to their second conference tournament championship and secured their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2012.
SFA will face off against the Tigers on Friday, May 2nd at 3:00 p.m. central time.
