
Jacks' NIT Run Begins March 17 in Tulsa against Host Golden Hurricane

SFA makes first national postseason appearance since 2022
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin men's basketball will begin its run in the 88th National Invitation Tournament on Tuesday, March 17 against region host Tulsa. The Jacks and the Golden Hurricane tip-off at 8 p.m. CT from inside the Reynolds Center. The opening round matchup will be broadcast on ESPNU with additional live coverage links available at www.SFAjacks.com. Tickets for the first round will be on sale Monday at 9 a.m. here.
It will be the fourth meeting all-time between SFA and Tulsa with the Jacks leading the series 2-1. The two sides last met in December of 2016 in a MTE in Honolulu, Hawaii. Former Lumberjack great Desmond Haymon, whose late game heroics helped the Jacks to an overtime win over VCU in the 2014 NCAA Tournament, is a current assistant with Tulsa.
The Golden Hurricane enter national postseason play at 26-7 overall with half of those victories coming in American Conference action. Tulsa bowed out in the semifinal round of the American Conference tourney.
