    RUSTON, La. - Two more school records fell Saturday at the Louisiana Tech Invitational Saturday afternoon in Ruston, La. The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field teams have now recorded school records in every meet during the 2012 indoor and outdoor seasons but one.

    SFA recorded new benchmarks in the women's 400-meter dash and the women's 1,600-meter relay. In addition to the records, the SFA men and women added nine individual championships and two relay titles.

    Senior Mary Dickerson was a part of both school records clocking a time of 53.46 to win the women's 400 meters, and then returned to the track to team up with Paige McCutcheon, Lauren Watts and Brarsheyia Simpson to clock a time of 3:38.96 in the 4x400-meter relay.

    Freshman Cierra Jefferson added a title in the 800 meters with her time of 2:18.66. Classmate Ashley Burris posted the top time in the 400-meter hurdles to capture the win (1:00.24).

    The Lumberjacks added three titles on the track. Freshman Glenn McQuinney won the men's 400 meters with his time of 47.49, edging out teammate Torin Crowder (47.54). McQuinney was also a member of the 'Jacks' 4x400-meter relay team that clocked a time of 3:10.11 to win the event. McQuinney teamed up with freshman Jontel Goff, Crowder and sophomore Cass Brown to win the relay event.

    SFA combined for four victories in the field events. Freshmen Melai Carter and Ashley Gadson each cleared a height of 5-7.00 in the high jump to tie for the event title. Junior Kelli Hermes won the women's triple jump with a mark of 40-5-50, while freshman La'Tricia Griffin won the hammer throw (136-6).

    On the men's side, junior Andrew Plentl won the men's high jump by clearing a height of 6-6.00. Sophomore Clint Harris finished third in two events but was the top collegiate finisher in both. Harris recorded a throw of 169-8 in the discus and 164-7 in the hammer throw.
