SFA opens 2013 indoor season in College Station Saturday.

The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field team will be in College Station, Texas Saturday to kick off the 2013 indoor season at the Texas A&M Invitational. The Ladyjacks enter the season as the four-time defending indoor Southland Conference champions, while the men's team recorded a strong third-place finish a season ago.
The meet is slated to begin at noon with the men's high jump and the women's pole vault. The track events will get underway at 2 p.m. with the women's mile run.
The meet will consist of 12 teams. The competition field includes host Texas A&M, Baylor, North Texas, Prairie View A&M, Rice, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, Texas Southern, Houston, Texas-Arlington and UTSA.
Saturday's meet will be the first of four indoor meets prior to the SLC Indoor Championships in late February. Following the Texas A&M Invite, SFA will take a week off before heading to Houston to compete in the Houston Indoor and Multis competition (Jan. 25-26th).
