The Stephen F. Austin track and field team sent its multi-event athletes to compete at the Razorback Invitational over the weekend, and returned with three top-five finishes. Senior Tabitha Riley recorded a personal record score of 3,549 points to finish second overall in the pentathlon.
Junior Alicia Jackson competed in her first career pentathlon and posted a fourth-place finish with a score of 3,321 points. The 'Jacks placed three guys in the top seven, led by senior Chris Jones. The Hawkins, Texas native, posted a score of 5,042 points to finish tied for second overall. Junior Aaron Harlan, who was competing in his first meet since the 2008 season, recorded a score of 4,888 points to finish sixth overall, while sophomore Andrew Plentl was seventh overall with 4,874 points.
The SFA track and field team returns to action Friday when they travel to Houston, Texas, to compete in the Houston Invite and Multis. The meet will run through Saturday.
