SFA track and field heads to Iowa State.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -
After a strong start to the 2012 season, the Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field teams prepare for their longest trip of the indoor season competing in the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa. SFA is off to one of its strongest starts under head coach Phil Olson, having already set six school records in the first two meets of the season.
The classic is a three-day event that will run through Saturday. The meet will consist of some of the nation's top talent. Among the teams that will be in Ames include host Iowa State, Iowa, Northern Iowa, North Texas, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Kansas State, DePaul, Wichita State, SMU, Nebraska and Miami (Fla.).
The meet begins Thursday with the opening events of the pentathlon and heptathlon. Field events are slated to get under way Friday at 11 a.m., while the track events begin at noon with the women's 3,000 meters.
