Samantha Robinson Joins SFA Academic Staff

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Samantha Robinson has been hired as Academic Services Assistant Stephen F. Austin Director of Athletics Robert Hill announced Tuesday morning. Robinson will work directly with the SFA basketball programs, cross country, track and field and tennis.

Robinson joins the SFA athletics department after spending the past year and a half at Innovative Metal Components in Lufkin, where she served as Vice President of Business Development. In her first year she oversaw $1.8 million in sales across five separate industries. She received a vice president promotion within six months after her hire. Prior to being hired by Innovative Metal Components, she spent five months as marketing coordinator for Express Employment Professionals in Nacogdoches.

Robinson is no stranger to the world of collegiate athletics. She spent three seasons as assistant coach at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. During her time with NSU, the team recorded its highest national ranking (26th) and produced more than 10 student-athletes who were recognized nationally for their academic and athletic achievements.
