Josh Taylor and Madison Johnston both were named SLC Athlete of the Week for the efforts in leading the Lumberjacks and Ladyjacks to impressive opening weekends for the outdoor season.

Taylor ran a new personal best time of 51.57 seconds to win the 400 meter hurdles at the Alabama Relays to be named Men’s Track Athlete of the Week. He shaved more than half a second off his previous best time in the event and is currently ranked third in the nation early in the season.
