NACOGDOCHES, Texas – As part of its yearlong 50th Anniversary commemoration, the Southland Conference has announced its All-Time Outdoor Track & Field Honor Rolls. A day after announcing the indoor honor roll, the conference named the best athletes in Southland Conference history on Friday, and 21 SFA track and field stars made the list.

The honor roll includes 236 elite student-athletes that have impacted the sport since 1964 when the first first-ever Southland Conference Championship was held in Abilene. Southland men’s student-athletes have won 15 NCAA Division I Outdoor national championships, and 20 of the league’s former stars have made 29 appearances in the Olympic Games.

Eleven coaches also were recognized for their contributions to track and field in the Southland Conference, including SFA head coach Phil Olson.
