2010: Defended his conference title in the 10,000 meters ... He clocked a time of 31:43.15 to win the SLC individual title ... Crossed the finish line with a time of 14:57.23 to finish fourth overall in the 5,000 meters at the conference outdoor meet.

2009: Earned NCAA All-Region honors with his 11th-place finish (31:17) at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships ... Garnered All-Southland Conference recognition after his fourth-place finish (24:16) at the SLC Cross Country Championships ... Really came into his own at the SLC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, where he garnered two all-conference honors and an individual title ... Recording a dazzling finish to clock a time of 30:54.73 to win the SLC 10,000-meter title ... Ownbey outkicked the defending champion in the final 250 meters to win the title ... He followed that up with another strong finish in the 5,000 meters to place second (14:28.86) to earn all-conference honors ... Also recorded a second-place finish in the 5,000-meter run (14:46.80) at the SLC Indoor Championships ... Was sixth in the 3,000 meters (8:33.37) at the SLC Indoor meet.

2008: Named 2008 SLC Cross Country Freshman of the Year ... Finished 55th overall with a time of 33:00 at the NCAA Regional Championships ... Earned All-SLC honors with his eighth-place finish (25:39) at the SLC Cross Country Championships ... In his only race of the outdoor season, posted a third-place time of 14:53.38 in the 5,000 meters at the Bayou Classic ... That time stands as a personal best and was the top 5,000-meter time recorded by a Lumberjack during the outdoor season ... Recorded top-10 finishes in both the 3,000 and 5,000 meters at the SLC Indoor Championships ... Was ninth in the 3,000 with a time of 8:36.96 ... Took sixth in the 5,000, clocking in at 15:04.59.

2007: Redshirted the cross country season.

High School: Was one of the top high school runners in Oklahoma ... Took 14th place in the Foot Locker South Regional Cross Country Championships, finishing with a time of 15:25 ... Was a two-time runner-up at the state cross country championships ... Just missed a state title in both the 1,600 and 3,200 meters, finishing second in both at the Oklahoma Class 6A State Championships.
