July 30, 2010
NEW ORLEANS, La. - Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack track and field athletes Stephanie Ganter, Carrie Hahn and Frednisha Marshall have been named to the 2010 USTFCCCA All-Academic team announced organization officials Thursday afternoon.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.25 and have met either the NCAA Division I Indoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard, or participated in the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships (including preliminary rounds) in their respective event.
Hahn and Ganter were two of only 28 All-Academic honorees who posted a 4.0 GPA.
The trio has been key in helping guide the Ladyjacks to four consecutive Southland Conference Championships (two indoors and two outdoors), including a record-setting performance in 2010. Marshall wrapped up her SFA career as one of the most decorated throwers in school history. She advanced to the NCAA Indoor Championships as a junior and senior, earning All-America honors in the weight throw as a junior.
