Derrick is entering his first season with the Lumberjacks. Derrick is a native of Miami, Florida and transferred to SFA from the University of Indiana.

2023 (Freshman): Did not play for the Hoosiers

Personal: Derrick is the son to Bonnie and Richard Bohler and is the brother to Richard (brother) and Kiyannah Bohler (sister). Derrick was a consensus three star recruit coming out of high school and played under head coach Michael Manasco at Miami Palmetto High School. He garnered third-team All-8A-6A from the Miami Herald as a junior. He also logged 500 receiving yards as a sophomore to help Reagan High School to the District 28-6A title. During his time at SFA Derrick will pursue a degree in business.
