    STORY LINES
    Opening Pitch
    • The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack baseball team will head to Arkansas-Little Rock on Tuesday, to begin a four-game road swing. SFA and the Trojans will play at 6:00 p.m. at Gary Hogan Field.

    • The `Jacks enter the week 12-14 overall opposite of UALR, which is 11-13.

    • SFA will start junior Halden Maynard against the Trojans' Chad Bradford.

    Players of Note
    • Heading into the weekend, senior Mackenzie Handel and sophomore Matthew Dickey lead the team in several offensive categories. Handel leads both the team and league with six homeruns, while ranking third in slugging percentage (.553). The native of Chandler, Ariz., also leads the team and is tied for league mark with 24 RBI. Dickey currently bolsters a .337 batting average and is the SFA's current leader in hits (32-of-95) and stolen bases (8-of-14), which ranks eighth in the Southland Conference.

SCOUTING ARKANSAS-LITTLE ROCK: The Trojans are 4-0 in midweek games this season and 9-4 at home. UALR's Ben Crumpton became the school's career stolen base record holder last week, swiping his 18th bag of the season, which leads the Sun Belt and is on pace to challenge for the single-season record of 38 set by John Polson in 1992. Junior Tanner Rockwell, who had his 12-game hitting streak come to an end on Sunday at Louisiana-Monroe, ranks in the top-10 in the Sun Belt in batting average (.352), slugging percentage (.591) and on-base percentage (.450). Sophomore Chad Bradford will make his fourth midweek start on the season. Bradford is 2-0 with a 1.91 ERA in 17.2 innings in his three starts.

    Trojans Outlast 'Jacks
Sam Vogel hit a walk-off RBI double in the bottom of the 10th inning to score Chris Burk and Arkansas-Little Rock handed Stephen F. Austin its fourth consecutive loss, 6-5, on Tuessday at Gary Hogan Field.

VS. THE OPPONENT: SFA is 7-8 all-time against the Trojans, since the two teams first met in 1991. UALR took both meetings with the `Jacks last season in the home-and-home series. The two teams were scheduled to play their first meeting this season on Feb. 25, what was scheduled to be SFA's home opener, but had to postpone the game due to inclement weather. The game was pushed back to Mar. 4, but cancelled on Mar. 3 due to bad weather and travel conditions.

    The Last Time Out
    • The `Jacks recorded a four-run fifth inning to tie the game from down 4-0, but could not hold the momentum, eventually falling 8-4 in the series conclusion with Central Arkansas on Sunday afternoon at Jaycees Field.

    UP NEXT
    • SFA will closeout its road swing with a three-game series at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi, beginning April 4.
