Hill Making Name For Himself And SFA With Cardinals

MIDLAND, Texas - Former SFA All-American Steven Hill has gotten on a tear in the Texas League for Double AA Springfield, an affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Hill went 5-for-5 on Tuesday night in Midland just one night after mashing a pair of home runs. He now has a seven-game hit streak for the Cards.

Hill was named the 2007 SLC Hitter of the Year and Player of the Year after hitting .387 with 24 home runs and 73 RBI and leading SFA to is first-ever SLC Tournament. He earned All-America honors from both Louisville Slugger and the ABCA, the first Lumberjack baseball player ever to do so. He turned that into a 13th-round draft selection of the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2007 MLB Draft.
