Lehmann Earns Another Academic Honor

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Senior pitcher Erich Lehmann has been recognized once again for his work in the classroom, as he was recently named the winner of the S.A. and Frankie Zou Kerr Outstanding College of Liberal and Applied Arts Graduate Award as the most outstanding student in the college of liberal arts.

Lehmann put together a memorable four-year career that saw him set numerous school records on the diamond, but he was also a standout academically throughout his career. The Fort Worth native was named to the Southland Conferene's All-Academic team each of the three years he was eligible, including being named to the first team last week as a senior.

He was an All-SLC second team pitcher this year after putting up a 7-4 record and a 4.23 ERA for the `Jacks, leading the team in wins, strikeouts and innings pitched. All the while he was still able to successfully wrap up his academic career as well, finishing with a 3.71 GPA in criminal justice.
