SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Josh Porter scored 13 points to lead four Lumberjacks in double figures, but it wasn't enough as the Lumberjacks fell to the UT-San Antonio Roadrunners Tuesday night, 69-64 to fall to 6-9 in Southland Conference play.

SFA (12-14, 6-9) needs a win Friday in the season finale over UL-Monroe and help to qualify for one of the final spots in the SLC O'Reilly Auto Parts Postseason Tournament.

The Lumberjacks led throughout much of the game, leading by 12 at the half and building the lead to as many as 15 points early in the second half before the Roadrunners used red-hot shooting after halftime to chip away at the SFA lead. UTSA shot 81-percent in the second half (13-16) from the field and shot 36 free throw attempts in the game in the come-from behind win.

In spite of the that, SFA still had a chance to win the game late but couldn't score down the stretch in losing for the second straight time. The Lumberjacks scored only only point over the final 6:36 of the game as UTSA rallied from an eight point deficit with 5:00 remaining to take the win.

Hank Rivers and Anthony Paez added 11 each for the Lumberjacks and Leonard Brown had 10 points for SFA. Paez and Brown did not score in the second half of play.

SFA closes out the regular season Friday at home against UL-Monroe. Tip is set for 8:15 p.m.
