    Antonio Burks had 21 first half points to pace a Lumberjack attack that jumped all over the Tigers of Jackson State Thursday night, 103-79. Burks ended the night with a game high 23 points on 8 of 11 shooting in only 15 minutes of action. Clark played 29 minutes, coming off the bench to toss in his career high 20 points. The Marshall freshman had 16-points in the second half and scored nine points in a 2:40 stretch early in the second half to build the Lumberjacks' lead to 19, 65-46.

    Jackson State was able to trim the lead back to only nine points at 76-67 before the 'Jacks went ona 15-4 run to stretch the lead back to 20 at 91-71. Tim Henderson led JSU with 21 points as the Tigers connected on 13 of 40 3-point attempts in the game. Henderson was 5-14 from beyond the arc.

    SFA ended the night shooting .597 (37-62) from the field, including 9-14 on three pointers (.643), a season high from behind the stripe. SFA also outrebounded Jackson State 44-29 for the game.

    Stevin Ozier posted his first double-double of 2002 with an 11-point, 122-rebound effort. Jason Gast also added 11 points to round out the double figure scoring for the Lumberjacks. Every Lumberjack who saw action scored at least two points in the contest.

    The 'Jacks return to action on Dec. 28 as they open Southland Conference play at UL-Monroe.
