NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Stephen F. Austin athletic department officials, Aramark Concessions and Citizens First Bank have teamed to offer basketball fans a number of activities in conjunction with Thursday night's Stephen F. Austin-Sam Houston basketball game. Thursday's game is set to get underway at 7:00 p.m. and will be televised on FOX Sports Net.

Last season, SFA started a 'Beat The Buzzer' night for selected home games and Thursday night's game will be the first 'Beat The Buzzer' game for 2004. Fans arriving at the William R. Johnson Coliseum before 30 minutes prior to the tip will be admitted free. Aramark Concessions is also holding a fish fry Thursday night beginning at 5:30 p.m. Cost of the fish fry is $5 per plate. Serving will continue through 8:00 p.m.

SFA students in attendance will also have the opportunity to win thousands in cash throughout the night. Citizens First Bank is sponsoring the $1000 Mega Cash Scramble Thursday night with one lucky SFA student chosen from the crowd given 30 seconds to scoop up as much cash as he, or she, can. Various other promotions will also take place during the game with another $1000 given away to fans in attendance.

Singing the national anthem and performing at halftime of Thursday's game will also be The Overtones, an a capella quartet comprised of SFA music majors.

Doors of the William R. Johnson Coliseum open at 5:30 p.m. Thursday with everyone arriving before 6:30 p.m. admitted free. All SFA students with a valid ID are admitted free to all home games.
