NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The goal of every student when they leave home for college is graduation. That goal was achieved Saturday by 29 Stephen F. Austin athletes, trainers and managers, including former AP All-American and SLC Men's Basketball Player of the Year Josh Alexander.

Alexander was one of two basketball players to walk through commencement ceremonies Saturday along with Nick Shaw. The Lumberjack baseball team led all varsity squads with nine graduates, while football graduated three. The Ladyjack soccer, softball and track and field and the Lumberjack golf team each graduated two, while the tennis and volleyball teams each had one graduate. SFA also graduated three student athletic trainers and two managers at the 2009 spring commencement.
