Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack and Lumberjack basketball games will be broadcast on KTBQ 107.7 for the upcoming 2004-05 season announced SFA athletics director Steve McCarty Thursday morning.
After 11 seasons on KYKS 105, the Lumberjack broadcasts will be moving to Q107, another ClearChannel station. The Lumberjacks will be joining the SFA women on Q107, the Ladyjacks flagship station for the past 17 seasons. Robert Hill returns for his 30th season as the "Voice of Lumberjack Basketball." Assistant sports information director James Dixon is entering his third season as play-by-play for the Ladyjacks.
Selected games will be broadcast in the month of November with both teams resuming their normal broadcast schedules in December. The Ladyjacks tip-off the 2004-05 season on Friday Nov. 19th, when they host Rice at the William R. Johnson Coliseum, while the Lumberjack open the season on the road in Tampa, Fla., against South Florida on Saturday Nov. 20th.
