SFA Football 2012 Preview: Offensive Line

The 'Jacks return four of five starters from its 2011 offensive line.

Career: Played in 44 games during his Lumberjack career with 27 starts.

2015 (Senior): Started all 11 games at the right tackle position for SFA ... Member of one of the most experienced offensive lines in the country that helped the SFA offense average 427.9 yards and 28.7 points per game.

2014 (Junior): Started all 13 games at right tackle for SFA ... Key member of the offensive line that helped the Lumberjacks average 460.8 yards per game, including 207.4 rushing yards per game and a school-best 5.2 yards per rush in 2014 ... Helped pave the way for running back Gus Johnson's record-setting season, being named a Walter Payton Award finalist.

2013 (Sophomore): Saw action in 12 games on the offensive line with three starts ... Key member of offensive line that helped the SFA offense produce a 1,000-yard rusher and a 4,000-yard passer as SFA ranked among the national leaders in total offense.

2012 (Freshman): Played in eight games ... Was the backup to Byron Williams at right guard ... Protected for an offense that led the nation in passing ... The O-Line ranked 10th nationally in pass protection.

2011 (Redshirt): Spent his rookie season on the Lumberjack demonstration units.

Prior to SFA: Two-year letterwinner at Bells High School ... Played center, left tackle, defensive end and served as the team deep snapper ... Also lettered in basketball and track and field ... Set new Bells ISD record in the discus ... Son of Jeff and Desay Dane ... Majoring in business.
