    NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Senior offensive lineman Ryne Chambers has been named one of the 43 players selected to the 2013 Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) Academic All-Star Team, announced today by the organization.

    Chambers closed out his Lumberjack career this past season by starting all 12 games for the 'Jacks, appearing in 43 games with 25 starts in an SFA uniform. A two-time All-Southland Conference honorable mention selection, Chambers has been a key member of the 'Jacks offensive line, helping SFA produce both a 4,000-yard passer (Brady Attaway) and a 1,000-yard rusher (Gus Johnson) in 2013.

    Chambers was one of three selections from the Southland Conference, joining McNeese State offensive lineman Arinze Agada and Nicholls State defensive back Jordan Hanberry. The 43 selections came from 90 nomination across all FCS schools, comprising the 16th-annual Academic All-Star Team.

    Football players from all Football Championship Subdivision institutions are eligible for these prestigious awards. Each of the nominees were required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) in undergraduate study and have been a starter or key player with legitimate athletics credentials. He must have reached his second year of athletics and academic standing at the nominated institution and have completed a minimum of one full academic year at the nominated institution. He must also have participated in 50 percent of the games played at his designated position.
