NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Seniors Tim Knicky and Duane Brooks, and juniors Jabara Williams and Jeremy Moses have been named to Consensus Draft Report 2009 Preseason All-America Team according to the CDS web site Thursday afternoon. Williams earned first-team honors, while Knicky garnered second-team recognition. Both Moses and Brooks were named to the honorable mention squad.

After spending his freshman season splitting time between running back and linebacker, Williams found a home on the defensive side of the ball last season. Williams led the SLC with 132 total tackles, and finished ninth in the nation averaging 11 tackles per game.

A 2008 AP Third-Team All-America selection, Knicky became one of the nation's more dominating players as a junior. Knicky led the conference, and finished fifth in nation with 12 sacks, and also led the league and finished among the nation's top 10 in tackles for a loss. Knicky wrapped up the 2008 season earning first-team all-conference honors.

Moses thrust himself into the spotlight last season breaking several school, conference and national records. The 2008 honorable mention All-SLC selection finished the year completing 59 percent of his passes for 4,026 yards and 41 touchdowns. Moses led the NCAA Division I FCS level in passing yards and touchdown passes in 2008.

One of Moses' favorite targets on the season was Brooks. A Central Michigan transfer, Brooks had a huge impact on the team during his first season. The 2008 SLC Newcomer of the Year, Brooks set a new single-season SFA record by hauling in 68 passes, despite missing two games with an injury. He finished the season with 68 catches for 863 yards and four touchdowns.
