NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Jake Willingham has been hired to coach the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack running backs head coach J.C. Harper announced Monday morning.

"When our running back's position came open," said Harper. "I wanted to hire someone who was already familiar with our system. I knew with Jake it was going to be a smooth transition with his experience over the past three seasons.

"He gained valuable knowledge during his time at Texas Tech. He continued to prove himself as the inside receivers coach at West Texas A&M last season. Jake, whose father is a coach at Ennis High School, is also very familiar with Texas high school football," added Harper.
