Attaway Earns Top Weekly CFPA Honors

Senior quarterback Brady Attaway was named FCS CFPA National Performer of the Week.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin senior quarterback Brady Attaway was named FCS College Football Performance Awards National Performer of the Week and National Quarterback of the Week on Sunday evening.

Attaway, a member of the 2013 CFPA Quarterback Award Watch List, led the Lumberjacks to a 55-41 victory over Nicholls State on Homecoming Saturday afternoon at Homer Bryce Stadium. The senior completed 35-of-50 passes for 337 yards and six touchdowns to move into second all-time in the Southland Conference's completition's list with 866 in his career. The native of Whitehouse, Texas (Whitehouse HS), passed Central Arkansas quarterback Nathan Brown (856) and now sits only behind SFA's 2010 Walter Payton Award winner Jeremy Moses

The 'Jacks will next face UCA on Oct. 26 at 3:00 p.m. in Conway, Ark.
