Thirteen 'Jacks were recognized on postseason teams by the Southland Conference announced Tuesday.

FRISCO, Texas - Thirteen members of the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team have been named to the 2013 All-Southland Conference teams, league officials announced Tuesday afternoon.
Senior receiver Mike Brooks garnered first-team honors and running back Gus Johnson earned second-team recognition, while 11 `Jacks were named honorable mention.
Brooks, who earned honorable mention in 2012, led all receivers with 11 touchdowns. The native of Irving, Texas, recorded 975 yards receiving on 75 receptions. Brooks also added 139 yards on punt returns and 238 yards and a touchdown on kick returns to finish with 1,425 all-purpose yards.
Brooks' lone touchdown on kick return came in a NCAA record-tying 100-yard return against then No. 11/13 McNeese State (Nov. 9).
Receiving his second-straight all-conference honor, Johnson was SFA's lone representative on the second team. The junior from Gilmer, Texas, led the `Jacks on the ground with 11 touchdowns and 1,061 rushing yards, his first 1,000-plus rushing season of his career. Johnson added 108 yards receiving and 11 yards on one kick return to finish with 1,180 all-purpose yards.
Johnson rushed for 100 yards or more in seven games on the season, including a season high 165 at Lamar (Nov. 16). Johnson garnered first-team honors as a sophomore.
SFA had 11 `Jacks receive honorable mention including quarterback Brady Attaway, receivers Tyler Boyd, Aaron Thomas and DJ Ward, offensive linemen Andrew Ratliff, Ryne Chambers and Bryan West (deep snapper), defensive lineman Malcolm Mattox, linebacker Ortavious Hypolite, placekicker Jordan Wiggs and punter Nick Bruno.
