PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Seniors Tim Knicky and Duane Brooks, and junior linebacker Jabara Williams have been named to the 2009 Sports Network All-America team announced TSN Executive Director Dave Coulson in a release Wednesday afternoon. Williams is a second-team selection, while Knicky and Brooks earned third-team honors.

Knicky, who has already been named to the 2009 AP and Walter Camp All-America teams, has earned All-America honors each of the past two seasons. He closed out his SFA career by guiding the Lumberjacks to one of their best seasons in school history. SFA won the 2009 Southland Conference title with a 10-3 overall record, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs. It marked the school's first trip to the postseason since 1995.

A two-time first-team All-Southland Conference selection, and a four-time all-conference honoree, Knicky finished second in the nation in sacks (1.04 pg). He recorded 41 tackles, including 15 for losses, and 12.5 sacks in 2009, only one sack shy of tying the league's single-season record.

One of the Southland Conference's leading tacklers, Williams recorded another outstanding season for the 'Jacks finishing second on the team with 87 tackles, including 6.5 tackles for losses and one sack. A two-time All-American, Williams helped lead a resurgent SFA defense that was one of the toughest in the nation.

Brooks followed up his 2008 league newcomer of the year honor by earning first-team all-conference honors. Brooks led the conference and finished nation's leaders hauling in just under nine receptions per game, and was among the nation's leaders averaging close to 82.3 yards receiving per game. Brooks finished the season with a school-record 118 receptions for 1,076 yards and six touchdowns. Brooks was the only FCS player to haul in at least 15 receptions in consecutive games this season, and one of only two players at the NCAA Division I level. It marks the second consecutive season SFA has had a receiver record 1,000 receiving yards in a season.
