    The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team was fifth after the first round of the Jim West Intercollegiate at TPC Craig Ranch Golf Course in McKinney, Texas, but fell two places in the second round. The Lumberjacks fired a 296-309 - 605 to finish the day seventh in the 11-team field.

    Senior Mitchell McLeroy led the way for SFA with 73-76 - 149 on the first day. He is currently tied for 12 entering the final day of action. Freshman John Sheehan is only a stroke back of McLeroy tied for 19th with a 150.

    After firing an even par round in the opening 18 holes of the day, sophomore Blake Pugh struggled in the second round. Pugh finished the day tied for 30th (72-80 - 152). Austin DeWitt battled back from a tough opening round to finish the day tied for 42nd (80-76 - 156). Freshman Major Monzingo rounded out the SFA lineup finishing tied for 48th with a 158.
