Sophomore Luke Sheehan recorded his fourth career top-ten finish Tuesday.

VERO BEACH, Fla. – The Stephen F. Austin men’s golf team carded a final round 302 to finish 6th at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational. The Lumberjacks stumbled on Tuesday to finish 291-294-302 – 887 on the 7,325 yard, par-72 course at Quail Valley.
SFA Sophomore Luke Sheehan led the ‘Jacks in scoring for the week, carding a final round 72 to finish tied for 10th at 218. The top-ten finish was Sheehan’s second of the season and fourth of his career.
Junior Blake Pugh fired a final round 75 to finish 221 alone in 18th. Sophomore Major Monzingo carded his low round of the tournament Tuesday, with a two-over 74 to finish tied for 25th, his best of the season.
Junior Bradley Phelps finished at 224, with a final round 81 to finish in 32nd. Junior Austin DeWitt fell to a final round 84 to finish at 233, tied for 39th.
The Lumberjacks will look to bounce back next week at the Red Wolves Fall Beach Classic in Gulf Shores, Ala, Nov. 4-5.
