McLeroy Set to Tee Off at NCAA Regionals

Senior Mitchell McLeroy is in Fayetteville, Ark., preparing for the opening round of the 2013 NCAA Regional Championships. McLeroy received his second-straight berth at regionals becoming the first Lumberjack in the NCAA Division I era to advance in consecutive seasons.
McLeroy will be one of five individuals playing in the 14-team Fayetteville Regional, which includes 2012 NCAA Champion Texas. The Fayetteville Regional will begin Thursday, May 16, on The Blessings Course. It is a 7,251-yard, par-72 course.
The region will consist of some of the nation's top-flight teams. In addition to host Arkansas, and No. 5 Texas, the region will also consist of No. 16 Oklahoma State, No. 21 SMU, No. 28 Kent State, No. 32 Illinois, No. 40 Liberty and No. 45 Tulsa.
McLeroy has been one of the Southland Conference's top players over the course of his career. Cracking the top 100 earlier this season, he finished the season ranked 126 overall, and posted the league's second-best stroke average (73.00).
The finals will be conducted May 28 - June 2, at The Capital City Club, Crabapple Course in Atlanta, Georgia. Georgia Tech is the host institution for this year's championships.
