May 28, 2010
NACOGDOCHES, Texas -
The funeral service for Gary Justice will be Tuesday, June 1st, at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Longview. Visitation will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday, May 30th at the Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
"Gary may have graduated a Red Raider but he was a true Lumberjack," said SFA Director of Athletics Robert Hill. "He had the unique gift of giving whether it was just his time or something else, he was always looking for ways to help us. We considered him a part of our staff because he was with us win or lose. Our hearts hurt for his family who will miss a great husband and father. He was a loyal and true friend."
Justice was the local general manager for R&K Distributors since 1995, and was a long-time supporter of SFA athletics.
"Gary was a true friend. I've really been able to get to know him over the past several years. He truly cared about Lumberjack football, and the SFA athletics department. Gary was always interested in knowing what he could do to help the department."
--- J.C. Harper
SFA Head Football Coach
"Gary Justice has been a strong and staunch supporter of SFA athletics for a very long time. He has been very generous in the giving of not only his time to everyone of our teams, but also in terms of his advertising and he was a season-ticket holder. He has been one of our biggest supporters in the community over the last 10 years. My condolences go out to not only his immediate family, but also to his family at R&K Distributors. Gary reached out and touched a lot of people in this community."
SFA Associate AD/Compliance
"Gary was one of us. No one will ever meet a more loyal, supportive friend than Gary Justice. He was more than just a corporate partner, he was a part of the Lumberjack family and we are so grateful to Dena, Brad and Lauren for sharing him with us. Our hearts ache right along with theirs. There are no words to describe this loss."
