SFA Men's Golf Team Finishes Ties for Seventh at Sam Houston Invitational

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - After getting off to a late start, the Stephen F. Austin men's golf team played one round at the Sam Houston Harold Funston Invitational and finished seventh carding a 296.

Junior Mitchell McLeroy led the `Jacks firing a 72 to finish in a tie for 10th place, marking his first top-ten finish of the season. One stroke back from him was sophomore Austin DeWitt who finished in a tie for 16th.

Senior Jared Johnson carded a 75 to finish in a tie for 32nd, while freshman Blake Pugh tied for 76. Sophomore Cody Wing tied for 42nd place after shooting a 77.

The `Jacks return to the course Tuesday morning to finish the final round of the tournament. The men plan to tee off at 8 a.m.
