“Education plays a vital role in every child’s life and our athletes have a unique opportunity to be examples of success,” assistant coach Stefanie Gray said. “Our team wants to be a positive influence on these children because they are the future of Nacogdoches and SFA.”

SFA teammates Aliece Anderson, Sara Jones, Sydney Reed, Rosie Henderson, Courtney Ford, Julia Bazaldua, Bradley Phelps and Blake Pugh, spoke to students about academic excellence and the importance of a college education.

Raguet elementary is actively promoting a comprehensive model of college readiness to all students from PreK-5th grade. College flags and banners are hung throughout the school to promote the importance of a college education.

The Lumberjack golf team’s joined the SFA Football and women’s basketball team, who have taken part in college day celebrations at Raguet elementary this fall.
