Carter is entering his first season with the Lumberjacks golf team. Carter is a native of The Colony, Texas and transferred to SFA from McLennan Community College.

Personal:
Carter is the son of Jennifer Patterson and is the brother to Ryan Patterson and Will Patterson. Carter’s brother Ryan played baseball at the Baylor University from 2020-23 and his brother Will plays baseball at Tyler Junior College. In high school, Carter was an All-Region Team selection, 2nd Team All American, NJCAA All-Academic Team of the Year Honorable Mention selection, Academic 3rd Team, competing in all 22 tournaments at McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas with 10 top 10 finishes and All-Tournament selections. During his time at SFA Carter will pursue a degree in sports business.
