FOR STARTERS: The Ladyjacks travel to Corpus Christi, Texas to face the Texas A&M- Corpus Christi Islanders with both teams still seeking their first conference win of the season. SFA is coming off a 74-57 home loss to McNeese State. The Ladyjacks, who once trailed 41-7, rallied late in the second half to close the gap to 66-55 with six minutes remaining but were unable to get any closer.

HISTORY VS. AMCC: SFA is 11-2 all-time against the Islanders and swept the season-series last year, including a 72-60 victory in Corpus Christi on Feb. 25, 2012.
PORSHA ON THE PROWL: Sophomore center Porsha Roberts is eighth in the Soutland Conference in scoring, averaging 12.3 PPG. The reigning SLC Freshman of the Year leads the entire conference in field goal percentage (.537) and blocks shots (18 total, 1.3 per game) and is also fifth in rebounding (7.5 RPG).
RACKING UP THE MILES: The Ladyjacks are in the midst of a stretch in which they're five South- land Conference games in 10 days, including three games in five days against Lamar, McNeese State and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
UP NEXT: The Ladyjacks will get only two days off before they take on Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas followed by a Saturday showdown against new SLC foe Oral Roberts in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Ladyjacks Dominate Second Half In 72-60 Win Over Islanders
The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks outscored the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders 39-23 in the second and got a big boost from their bench en route to their fifth straight victory with a 72-60 triumph Saturday afternoon at the Dugan Wellness Center.
