NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack basketball team will be looking to rebound from its heart-breaking loss at Texas-Arlington, 65-63, last Wednesday as they return to the friendly confines of the William R. Johnson Coliseum to host McNeese State. The game against the Cowgirls is slated to begin at 6 p.m., in the Coliseum. The Ladyjacks will then hit the road for Hammond, La., to face Southeastern Louisiana. The game against the Lady Lions is slated to begin 3 p.m., from the University Center.

SFA vs. the Cowgirls: The Ladyjacks are 33-6 (.846) all-time against McNeese State. The Ladyjacks have won 13 of the last 16 meetings between the two schools, but McNeese State has had its way in the series lately winning the last three contests. The Cowgirls recorded a 62-59 victory last season in Nacogdoches.

Riley vs. the SLC: Ladyjack head coach Lee Ann Riley has compiled a dominant record against Southland Conference foes. Riley is 46-16 (.742) against SLC teams during the regular season.

Home Sweet Home: The Ladyjacks are one of the nation's all-time winningest teams at home, with an all-time record of 328-82 (.800). The Ladyjacks have now won 62 of their last 75 games at home and are 5-1 (.833) in the William R. Johnson Coliseum this year.

Down to the Wire: The Ladyjacks series against McNeese State has become even more intense and has gone down to the wire in the last three meetings. Two of the last three games have gone into overtime, with the other meeting being decided by only three points.

Huge Strides: The Ladyjacks are 9-8 (.529) overall on the season. The Ladyjacks have already equaled the number of victories this season that they recorded all of last year.

Hot Start: The Ladyjacks got out to one of their best offensive starts of the season shooting 12-for-22 (.545) from the floor in the first half at Texas-Arlington. It marks the second time in the last three games that the Ladyjacks have shot over 50 percent in the first half (at Nicholls State, 1-19-05). The Ladyjacks are now shooting 45-for-84 (.536) in the opening half of their last three games.

Academic Shootout: The Ladyjack Academic Shootout will be held Saturday Feb. 21st, when the Ladyjacks host Southeastern Louisiana. There will be a pledge table set up at the front gate of the William R. Johnson Coliseum at every home game for fans to sign up. Fans can pledge money for every point the Ladyjacks score against the Lady Lions. The money will go to help raise funds for summer school scholarships.

Double-Double: After being held scoreless at Nicholls State for the first time in her career, junior LaToya Mills has rebounded in a big way. Mills recorded her second-straight double-double to lead the Ladyjacks at Texas-Arlington. Mills scored a game-high 23 points and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds. It was the six double-double of the season for Mills and the 19th of her career. Despite being held scoreless against the Lady Colonels, Mills is averaging 15.6 points and grabbing 8.6 rebounds over her last five games. Mills has also recorded three double-doubles during that stretch. She is currently third in the SLC averaging 14.7 points per game and fourth in the league averaging 8.4 rebounds per game.
