NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Student-athletes and coaches from the Stephen F. Austin women's basketball team held a pumpkin painting competition at the Boys and Girls Club of Nacogdoches Thursday afternoon.
The Ladyjacks helped the children paint pumpkins, before holding an award ceremony with prizes.
"The number one thing that our players can do is be a positive role model," head coach Brandon Schneider said. "It's great to be able to work with the Boys and Girls Club and have an event with the youth of Nacogdoches."
Women's basketball has been hosting the annual Halloween event at the Boys and Girls club since 2004.
The Ladyjacks will open the 2013-14 schedule in the Preseason WNIT against LSU on Nov. 8.
